Separate theft incidents prompt searches for suspects

City police are asking the public for help with a couple of separate incidents.  

One involves a break and enter around 2:30 am on Jan. 15 that saw hundreds of dollars’ worth of property taken from a business in the 200-block of Worthington Street West, between Cassells and Fraser streets.  

Police are looking to identify two suspects and have released a photo.  

Meantime, the North Bay Police Service is also looking to identify the owner of a black Ford Taurus that was spotted near a business in the 200-block of Birchs Road for an extended period of time around 4:30 am on Feb. 13.

Police say after the vehicle left the area, a pick-up truck, later identified as stolen around 4 am that day from a business in the 1300 block of Hammond Street, came by and stole a trailer loaded with multiple pieces of property.  

The estimated value of the trailer and contents was more than $10,000.  

The pick-up truck, trailer and contents were later recovered by members of the Ontario Provincial Police.  

Police believe the black Taurus was involved.
