A 38-year-old city woman has been charged with manslaughter.
The North Bay Police Service says an extensive investigation was conducted after the death of another woman, who police say was supplied and consumed drugs at the North Bay Jail last October.
The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Taylor Godfrey.
The accused also faces drug trafficking and possession charges along with failing to comply with a probation order.
She was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay courthouse.
