States of emergency continue in both Calvin and Bonfield Townships, with crews in both communities working to repair damage to their roads from Saturday’s storm.
Calvin officials ask drivers to continue to use caution while repairs are ongoing.
In Bonfield, repairs continue but Pine Lake, Shields Point and Talon Lake roads are open with Boxell open at Farmers Line and Van Doeler passable with water off the road.
McNutt Road remains closed.
Officials say there are still over 80 marked spots that need attention.
Meantime, Bonfield’s fire chief has issued a total fire ban across the township.
All open-air burning is prohibited until further notice because of an increased risk of fire.
Officials say this includes campfires and cooking fires, incinerators and burn barrels.
They add permits are paused and will remain inactive until the fire ban is lifted.
