Invest Ontario’s board of directors includes a former Member of Parliament for Nipissing-Timiskaming.
Jay Aspin, whose career spans both the public and private sectors and includes senior leadership roles, has been appointed to the board of the investment attraction agency.
He says his work has focused on supporting companies expand internationally and attract foreign investment.
“Economic growth through trade and investment has been my true passion over the past two decades,” says Aspin. “I am honoured to have the opportunity to utilize this experience to play a role in assisting our province remain a solid partner for businesses seeking strategic growth to ensure Ontario continues to be one of the world’s top investment destinations.”
Along with holding professional designations in International Trade, Economic Development and more, Aspin was inducted into the Order of Ontario in 2023.
Invest Ontario says its board of directors brings together accomplished industry leaders from a variety of sectors and backgrounds.
Former Premier Ernie Eves is among them.
