City police are helping make wishes come true.
The North Bay Police Service is hosting a car wash and barbecue in support of the Make a Wish Foundation on Thursday at One Kids Place.
The car wash runs from 10 am to 2 pm, with the barbecue fired up between 11 am and 1 pm.
“Make-A-Wish Canada works with communities across the country to provide children with critical illnesses the opportunity to realize their most heartfelt wish,” states a release from police. “These wishes are more than just moments of happiness; they are crucial in improving medical outcomes and enhancing the quality of life for both the children and their families.”
Officials say Thursday’s event is open to the public with proceeds going directly to fulfill wishes to those in need.
