Grace Michauville has accomplished more in her Grade 9 year than most athletes do in a lifetime.
Competing for the Algonquin Barons Track and Field team, Michauville won a gold medal in discus at the OFSAA Championships this past weekend, as well as a bronze in shot put. Michauville says she was a little nervous before each event with so many people watching, but once she got throwing she felt fine.

Michauville also took home the Fergie Dowdall Award last month as the top athlete during the NDA Track and Field Championships, the first grade 9 student to ever win the award.
Meantime Widdifield Wildcats athlete Caleigh Porter  won silver in Junior Girls high jump, surpassing a height of 160cm which beats her personal best by 6cm.
