Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli does not agree with the Climate Action Plan.
The five year plan by the Ontario Liberals is aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Fedeli says they will not be able to achieve this. He says the plan is unrealistic and economically disastrous.
The Climate Action Plan would look to mandate phasing out natural gas for heating homes.
Fedeli says that would place a huge burden on home owners. He says this would cost families $3,000 more a year to convert from natural gas to electricity and net-zero carbon homes would cost $50,000 more than a standard home.
