The Nipissing Lakers Women’s Volleyball team have landed an impressive young player.
17-year old Pickering native Stephanie Armstrong has signed on for the 2016-17 season. She is a setter and has won two national championships with the elite Durham Region Volleyball Club.
In a release Armstrong says she is looking forward to the challenge of moving from the rep level to university.
She says the goal is to help the team win and make it to the playoffs.
Lakers Head Coach Mark LaRochelle says Armstrong fits into their plans to recruit hardworking, strategic players who have strong work ethic and a great attitude.
