After a 40 point season with the Powassan Voodoos, Daniel Golba is moving on to the NCAA.
Golba has committed to play for the University of Wisconsin-Superior Yellow Jackets. They are a Division III team in the NCAA. Golba is a New York native and was an important part of the Voodoos success last season. By seasons end they ranked as the 14th best Junior A team in the country.
Golba says it has always been his goal to play hockey at the college level and he’s excited to go to Wisconsin-Superior.
In a release he says playing for the Voodoos was a great experience and they are a great organization.
Voodoos Head Coach Scott Wray says the university is lucky to have a player like Golba. Wray adds he gets to extend his hockey career for at least four more years in a very competitive league of hockey.
Golba is the fifth player from the Voodoos to move on to NCAA or Canadian College Hockey since 2014.
