Police are reminding everyone to safeguard against thieves. North Bay OPP are investigating a break, enter and theft from a Waukegan Road home in the Municipality of East Ferris that happened between 4:00am on Saturday and 2:00pm on Sunday. Officers say the front door was forcibly opened and thieves stole an undisclosed amount of cash and an assortment of jewellery including a three-band ring with a large diamond. Police remind everyone to always lock windows and doors, install motion lights or a security system, try to always appear at home, and mark or etch your valuables in a highly visible spot. Anyone with information is asked to contact police or to call Crime Stoppers.
