North Bay Police have arrested a 24-year-old woman from Thorne following an investigation into a 911 call to police.
According to police, yesterday around 4:00pm in an apartment building downtown, the woman entered an apartment carrying a baseball bat and a sword and threatened to harm a man who was inside.
The tenant then managed to wrestle the bat and sword away from the woman before calling police. Neither the tenant, nor the man threatened suffered any injuries.
The North Bay Police thanked the Ontario Provincial Police for their assistance in locating the woman at her residence in Thorne at 7:15 p.m. yesterday, where she was arrested.
The woman was released from custody, and has a court date set for October 18th.
