A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for North Bay, Powassan, Mattawa, West Nipissing and French River.
Thunderstorms are developing ahead of an approaching cold front. Some of these thunderstorms may produce damaging winds as well as hail.
The threat of severe thunderstorms will be diminishing later this evening.
