TP North Bay campaign wrapping up this Saturday

This Saturday, May 27th is the last chance to support TP North Bay campaign. Officials will be at Giant Tiger on Lakeshore Drive collecting toilet paper and donations. Despite the large amounts of food donated by the public, volunteers have said that it’s often overlooked how much the North Bay Food Bank needs personal hygiene products like toilet paper.

The goal is to raise 20,000 but, right now volunteers have only collected around 7,000 rolls. The North Bay Food bank gives out about 11,000 rolls per year to the clients since TP North Bay began in May 2014. They’re asking for people to donate a roll or two to help them reach 11,000 rolls by Saturday.

A final count will take place at the storage container in the Parker’s Independent parking lot, and then on Monday, May 29th volunteers will deliver the toilet paper to the Food Bank. They will also make a donation to the Salvation Army Food Bank at that time. For more information or how to get involved, you can email [email protected] or find them on Facebook at TPNorthBay.
