Even though North Bay’s Olympian is half a world away, he will still feel the love from his hometown.
Tyler Nicholson a Widdifield graduate, is representing Canada in Slope Style and Big Air Snowboard at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.
Students have signed a banner sending Tyler their best wishes. The banner will hang at the Upper Lodge at Laurentian Ski Hill where he developed his love of snowboarding.
Rosemary Nicholson, Tyler’s mother will speak to students at Widdifield this morning about the importance of following their dreams. She will be leaving for South Korea Tuesday to cheer Tyler on. Mayor Al McDonald will make a presentation on behalf of the City of North Bay at the event.
