We’ll know after tonight who Conservatives in Nipissing- Timiskaming want as their representative in the October 25th federal election.
Councillors from two communities are vying for the nomination.
Jordy Carr, a councillor from Callander, was the first candidate to declare her intentions to seek the nomination.
Several weeks later, Mark King, a North Bay city councillor and chair of the Nipissing DSSAB also made his intentions public.
The nomination meeting is this evening at the Davedi Club.
Voting will take place from 7:30pm to 9:00pm after both candidates make their opening statements.
The riding association is expecting a few hundred card-carrying Tories to attend.
The winner would face incumbent Liberal MP Anthony Rota in the General Election.
