Splash Pad reopens

The City of North Bay has announced they will be opening the splash pad today at noon.

City officials say the opening is in line with the province’s stage two reopening announcement. That announcement lifted additional restrictions in certain areas in the province, including North Bay.

The splash pad, located behind the North Bay Museum, was completed in September and had a minimal opening before the fall weather shut it down.

Officials say the splash pad is unsupervised and is not sanitized. Parents and guardians are asked to supervise their children at all times and users are reminded to wash and sanitize their hands after each use.

Health measures remain in place to stop the spread of COVID-19 and users should remember to stay two metres away from others using the splash pad and follow all guidelines related to social gatherings.

The splash pad will be open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Washrooms at the splash pad will also be available.
