City Council’s request to have the Police Services Board make further savings on their budget has been shot down.
During the Board Meeting yesterday, Board Chair Dennis O’Connor pointed out that the budget had already been passed with a 7 to 3 vote, and that going back to the drawing board makes no sense.
Mayor Al McDonald agreed that council’s newest request should have been made during the budget process.
