A collision at the intersection of Wyld and Main streets downtown has sent one person to the hospital.
Fire crews and EMS responded to the scene at around 1:45 pm on Wednesday. Paramedics could be seen lifting a woman off the street into an ambulance.
Emergency crews say a pedestrian “appeared to have the right of way” as they were hit by a car turning off of Wyld to head eastbound on Main street.
A first responder at the scene calls her injuries “minor to medium”.
The police investigation is ongoing.
Depending on the severity of the injury to the pedestrian, the police may call the forensic unit to re-create the accident.
