The North Bay Police Service is investigating a potential homicide.
In the early morning of New Year’s Day, emergency services responded to a call on Jane Street of a person in need of medical attention.
One person was taken to hospital, where they later died.
Police have taken one suspect into custody.
Police say there is no concern for public safety.

There is still a police presence in the area of Jane Street and Gormanville Road for what has been identified as a homicide investigation.
