The North Bay Police Service (NBPS) says the situation that closed a section of Lakeshore Drive has been resolved.
Tania Madigan, a witness at the scene, tells MyNorthBayNow at least eight police cars, both OPP and NBPS, could be seen along with the canine unit.
David Woolley, Corporate Communications Officer for the NBPS says there is no immediate threat to public safety. He was unable to provide further details as it is an ongoing investigation.
There is currently a police presence in the area of Lee Ave, Lakeshore Ave, and MacDonald Ave E as part of an ongoing investigation.
Members of the public are asked to avoid the area if possible.
