TP North Bay in need of donations

The TP North Bay Campaign is winding down but still has a way to go to reach their goal.

Chair Ellen Faulkner says this is the last week of the annual toilet paper donation campaign.

Their goal is 20,000 rolls.

“We’re just over 10,000 right now, we need a few thousand more rolls to go, so we need North Bay to reach out and help us get to the 20,000 if possible,” she says.

The toilet paper will be delivered to various food banks in North Bay next Monday.

Faulkner will be accepting donations at the Salvation Army from 1 pm to 3 pm each day this week and drop-off locations include the Davedi Club, Fire Station One on Princess Street and Allison the Bookman on Main Street East.

She also says this coming Saturday they’ll be accepting donations in the parking lot at Food Basics from 10 am to 2 pm.

Despite toilet paper shortages last year because of COVID-19, she says they still surpassed their goal.

“Last year we got 26,000 with the shortage of toilet paper and all.  I’m finding the businesses that we usually get, we haven’t got them yet,” she says.

Faulkner says they can drop them off when she’s at the Salvation Army, contact her at 705-493-6043 or email them at [email protected]

At last check, TP North Bay is about 8,500 rolls away from reaching this year’s goal.
