Warning about bear sightings in North Bay

The North Bay Police Service is advising residents to be aware of bears.

The bruins were spotted near 10th Street, by the waterfront, and near the Lakeshore Drive overpass.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is deploying bear traps in the area of 10th Street. 

Officials say if you encounter a bear, do not approach it or run away. 

They say walk slowly, without turning your back to the bear.
