North Bay will be celebrating Canada Day virtually again this year.
The city says all in-person activities have been cancelled.
“We’re not yet at the point where we can once again have large gatherings, so we’re encouraging everyone who chooses to celebrate this year to take part online or close to home,” said Mayor Al McDonald. “Canada Day is not only about celebrating what’s best about Canada and what unites us as a country, it’s also an opportunity to reflect on our past and to think about how we can become an even better, stronger nation.”
This year’s virtual activities include a Canada Day Poster Challenge, North Bay Museum Virtual Exhibit: North Bay Celebrates, virtual magic shows and musical performances and a virtual fireworks show.
Additional details, updates and links to this year’s virtual Canada Day activities will be shared on our social media channels and posted to the city’s website at https://www.northbay.ca/our-community/festivals-events/canada-day/
