An 18-year-old North Bay woman is facing arson and drug charges.
Police and North Bay Fire and Emergency Service got a call on Aug. 6 about a fire in a home in the 700-block of Rose Avenue.
Police found the accused in the home when they arrived.
At the time of the fire, four victims who are known to the accused were present in the residence. No victims sustained injuries as a result of the incident.
Police say the accused also damaged several pieces of property at the home, with an estimated value below $5,000.
Officers also found purple fentanyl on her person.
The 18-year-old is charged with:
- One count of Arson – Disregard for Human Life
- One count of Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Fentanyl
- One count of Fail to Comply with Sentence
- One count of Mischief Under $5,000
The accused was held for bail on August 7, 2021.
