Our area’s Labour Market Group (LMG) is reporting a notable decrease in job postings for July.
In its latest report, LMG says 356 job postings were recording for the Nipissing district in July, an over 11% decrease from the previous month’s 404 postings.
The report reads the decrease in jobs points to a ‘rocky recovery’, as the total is -20% below the 5-year July average of over 450 postings.
167 unique employers posted jobs in July, an over 17% increase from the previous month, and over 15% decrease from the 5-year average.
Of the postings, 100% were collected from only sources.
The top 3 employers posting jobs in July included Miller Technology Inc, Ontario Public Service and Canada Post.
