The North Bay Police Service wants everyone to have a fun, safe and spooky Halloween.
For drivers, police say be conscious of the increased number of pedestrians that will be out and about and be extra vigilant behind the wheel.
Police say parents should be going out trick-or-treating with their kids until they’re old enough to travel in groups with friends and always check over their child’s candy when they get home.
“I hope everyone taking part in Halloween festivities has fun and stays safe,” said North Bay Police Chief Scott Tod. “By practicing increased awareness and following the rules of the road we can ensure everyone has an enjoyable night.”
Other tips include making sure costumes are brightly coloured and consider adding reflective strips to increase visibility.
Police also advise to always look both ways before crossing the street and never go into someone’s home or vehicle.
