A 32-year-old city man is facing assault and weapons-related charges.
The North Bay Police Service says officers responded to a residence on King Street West just after midnight on Tuesday after a report a person was assaulted with an edged weapon and sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the accused fled the area before officers arrived, however, he was located and arrested on Fifth Avenue West.
A search resulted in an edged weapon being seized, according to police.
Police say the victim and the accused, who was held pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Court House are known to one another.
