City engineer John Severino has been appointed Interim Chief Administrative Officer in North Bay.
Council approved the move, effective immediately.
Severino, who oversees the city’s Infrastructure and Operations business unit, will lead the administration while a recruitment process for a permanent CAO takes place.
It was announced last week that former CAO David Euler has accepted an early retirement package.
Severino has more than 20 years of experience in management including 13 years with the City of North Bay.
He served as manager of Environmental Services in 2010 before becoming managing director of Community Services in 2015 and City Engineer in 2018.
