City police set up email for public to report traffic violations

An enhanced traffic enforcement campaign is underway involving city police.

The North Bay Police Service says the initiative will target a variety of traffic-related offences including dangerous and stunt driving, street racing, and vehicle modifications, such as loud mufflers and excessive tinting.

The campaign started on July 17 and will end in September.

A dedicated email address – [email protected] – has also been set up to enhance and streamline the process of the public providing traffic complaints to police.

“The public are our best support in addressing ongoing traffic violations,” says Inspector Jeff Warner. “By providing that information to the North Bay Police Service via our dedicated traffic complaint e-mail address, the residents of North Bay can help us better target dangerous drivers and keep our roads safe through our intelligence-led model of policing.”

Residents can also call city police to provide information about frequent traffic violations or other traffic complaints.

The number to call is 705-497-5555 (press 5 to reach the traffic office).
