A 34-year-old city man is facing assault and assault a peace officer charges after an incident at a Fraser Street restaurant.
The North Bay Police Service says at about 9:30 pm on July 25 a person, who was under the influence of alcohol was denied service, became aggressive and assaulted a staff member.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
After attending the area and arresting the man, police say an officer was assaulted but was not injured.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
