One person died in a collision on Highway 17 east of Mattawa on Thursday.
That from Ontario Provincial Police, with officials saying emergency crews responded to the two-vehicle crash just after noon.
Two drivers and two passengers were taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is still ongoing.
Police say the highway was closed between Mattawa and Pembroke for about nine hours yesterday.
