Area residents are getting ready for Sunday’s Terry Fox Run for Cancer Research.
It’s the 43rd year the event is taking place across Canada.
North Bay’s run takes place at the waterfront with registration at 8:30 am at the Rotary Pavilion, and welcoming remarks at 9 am.
There’s also a pre-walk/run Zumba warm-up with The Studio.
Officials say the course will be open until noon so people can run/walk at their own pace for 5 or 10 km.
Terry Fox School Runs are also taking place across the country.
Since the Marathon of Hope in 1980, more than $850 million has been raised with Terry Fox Runs taking place in 25 countries.
