If you see an increased police presence at Memorial Gardens between 11 am and 2 pm Friday, Sept. 15, don’t be alarmed.
The North Bay Police Service says the Emergency Response Team is conducting training exercises during that time.
“The North Bay Police Service’s Emergency Response Team utilizes specialized skills, tactics, and equipment, to protect public safety and respond to unpredictable situations,” states a release. “The North Bay Police Service’s ERT consists of 13 officers who receive regular training to effectively respond to all manner of high-risk incidents.”
Officials say the training will not result in any street closures and people can still access the arena as they normally would.
