Officials are heralding the Terry Fox School Run at Chippewa Secondary School as a success.
The event on Thursday collected $12,500 with donations continuing to come in.
The goal was $10,000.
A pep rally before the run featured teachers having their hair sculpted, dyed and shaved to motivate students to raise money for the run.
The school also held a fundraising barbecue.
