Canadore College aviation students are getting an up-close look at two military aircraft.
A CF-18 Hornet and a CP-140 Aurora are at the Jack Garland Airport (YYB) Thursday so students can see and interact with them.
The Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) says the visit is in support of efforts to attract new Canadian Armed Forces members to aviation technical trades.
“Students will have the opportunity to see and learn about the aircraft up close, and to speak with Royal Canadian Air Force air crew and technicians,” states a release from the military.
Students will also learn about a full-time paid training or education plan for authorized courses of study related to military occupations.
The two planes are scheduled to depart later Thursday afternoon.
