Ontario Provincial Police officers, civilian employees and others from across the northeast converged on Powassan this week.
They were there for the regional OPP Awards ceremony.
OPP Commissioner Thomas Carrique was there too, recognizing outstanding achievement, dedication, perseverance and more.
Officers and others were honoured for several incidents across the region. They include everything from assisting with fatal collision investigations, rescuing people and performing CPR, helping people who had overdosed, arresting violent individuals and more.
Dozens of OPP-related service milestones, for ten to 40 years, were recognized too.
