Ontario Provincial Police report dozens of drivers were charged in the North Bay area this past holiday weekend.
From Oct. 6-9, North Bay OPP took part in Operation Impact.
The campaign targeted impaired, distracted and aggressive driving, along with a lack of seatbelt usage.
Police say 77 charges were laid, including 52 for speeding.
Another 17 were traffic-related offences with others relating to insurance, alcohol and off-road vehicles.
33 warnings were also issued.
OPP took part in nine RIDE checks over the long weekend.
Police say one driver was issued a three-day driver’s licence suspension and a commercial motor vehicle was taken out of service.
