Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettles Campaign begins this Friday

We’re only three days away from the Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettles Campaign.

The Salvation Army North Bay Ministries will kick off their annual Christmas campaign on Friday (Nov. 24) at 11 am in front of Deegan’s (174 Main St West).

Officials share the local goal this year is $225,000 raised through the Red Kettles and mail-in donations.

It’s the organization’s main fundraiser and supports food assistance, school lunch programs, summer camps, and much more.

“These funds are used in North Bay for many of our year-round programs”, says Major Stephanie Watkinson, Corps Officer (Pastor) of The Salvation Army North Bay Ministries. “It is through the wide range of services that we are able to locally provide hope and dignity to the residents of North Bay and surrounding area.”

Kettles will appear at 7 locations in North Bay starting on Nov. 25.

Financial donations can also be dropped off at the organization’s main location at 134 McIntyre St. East, and made online at salvationarmy.ca/northbay.
