A 40-year-old North Bay man is facing several charges including attempted break and enter after police were called to Ski Club Road on Wednesday morning.
The North Bay Police Service says just after 6:30 am a resident heard someone trying to get into the home by the back door.
After a brief interaction, police say the suspect then tried to get in through the front door.
The victim called the police and when officers arrived, they made an arrest without incident.
Police say an edged weapon, break-in tools and drugs were seized.
The accused also faces charges of carrying a concealed weapon, possession of break-in tools and possession of a controlled substance.
He was held for a bail hearing.
