For the second straight day school transportation services says all school buses across the district are cancelled (Jan. 10) because of the weather.
Schools remain open.
A winter storm warning remains in effect for now in our area, with the system expected to move out this afternoon.
Meantime, North Bay OPP are reminding motorists that winter driving conditions are here and to be prepared.
Among other things, Ontario Provincial Police say to check road conditions before leaving, carry a winter survival kit, allow for extra time to get to your destination and keep your windshield and windows clear of snow and ice.
The OPP also says slow down, pointing out the number one cause of collisions in snowy conditions is speed.
