A North Bay mom and grandmother is celebrating a big lottery win.
Lois Chornaby won a $250,000 prize with INSTANT BINGO MULTIPLIER.
“This ticket was a late birthday gift from a friend,” she says. “This is my first big win.”
Ontario Lottery and Gaming says the retiree has been a regular lottery player for over 20 years and discovered her big win as she was playing her ticket and chatting with her friend
“I noticed I had a line and when I scratched the last number, I realized I had something. I whispered, ‘I think I won $250,000.'” she says. “I started to shake with excitement – we celebrated all night.”
Other than getting a traditional indigenous bear carving that she has always wanted, she plans on putting her win aside for now.
The winning ticket was purchased at a Giant Tiger store in Woodstock.
