There’s a new police chief in town.
The North Bay Police Service shares Daryl Longworth is replacing outgoing Chief Scott Tod.
Officials say Longworth spent 26 years with the Woodstock Police Service, before becoming the Deputy Chief of the London Police Service before returning to Woodstock Police in 2019 where he served as chief until 2022.
The Police Services Board the announcement at this morning’s (Tuesday) board meeting.
Longworth says he’s excited to be in North Bay and looks forward to meeting and engaging with the community.
He will be sworn in on March 25.
