There’s no shortage of events taking place in the area on Saturday, including an anniversary celebration, traditional round dance, free night skiing, labyrinth walk and more.

OUTLoud North Bay is celebrating.
The local community hub that provides a safe space for all youth ages 6-19 is marking its 4th anniversary with an open house (10 am – 2 pm) on Saturday.
The centre provides support services, including mental health workshops, harm reduction, educational supports, life skills programming and much more.
They’re located in the old Summit Night Club on Delaware Avenue.
You can also get pancakes and a wellness check in North Bay on Saturday.
MPP Vic Fedeli is hosting his annual paramedics and pancakes event from 9-11 am at the Davedi Club.
The community is also being invited to a traditional round dance.
Saturday’s event features a pipe ceremony, feast and round dance.
It starts at 3 pm at Nbisiing Secondary School, with the round dance at 6 pm.
Several community partners are hosting the event including Nipissing First Nation, the North Bay Regional Health Centre and more.

Laurentian Ski Hill, meantime, is inviting area residents to a night of free skiing and family-friendly activities.
Saturday’s event takes place from 5-9 pm and is supporting Chat4Chad and the group’s efforts to promote good mental health in the community.
The event is being hosted by Deacon Wealth Management.
“Physical exercise and getting outside are great for your mental health, so bringing Chat4Chad together with Laurentian Ski Hill is a natural and powerful partnership,” says Steve Deacon, of Deacon Wealth Management.

Saturday evening, the Canadian Ecology Centre is hosting a Candlelit Labyrinth Walk.
Officials say the event is a natural mental health initiative with labyrinths used worldwide to quiet the mind.
They say the project was initiated during the pandemic and took a couple of years to complete.
There’s no cost for the Labyrinth walk, which takes place from 7-9 pm in Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park, east of North Bay on Highway 17.
And the Friends of Camp Caritou are hosting a pasta dinner fundraiser and silent auction on Sat. March 2.
The event takes place from 5-6:30 pm at Trinity United Church (corner of McIntyre and Ferguson in North Bay). The cost is $15 for adults and $5 for children 12 & under.
