Four people are facing charges after they failed to stop for police.
Last Thursday night, shortly after 11:00 p.m., the OPP says Nipissing West officers were advised by Kirkland Lake OPP of a vehicle that failed to stop for speeding on HWY 11, and continued to travel south.
Once the vehicle was located traveling south on HWY 64 in Field, a spike belt was successfully used causing the vehicle to come to a stop. Three passengers fled to the woods, while police arrested the driver.
A large police presence, including aviation and the K9 unit, we’re able to find the three accused in an isolated cabin.
A search found cash and suspected cocaine.
The four accused face a slew of charges, including drug trafficking, and more.
They were held for bail court in North Bay.
