The switch over from winter gasoline to summer gas is getting the blame for a jump in prices at the pump.
They’ve started to rise in North Bay with some listed at about $1.83 a litre.
That’s up about 13 cents.
Around 6 am Thursday, most gas stations in the city were still around the $1.69 to $1.72 mark.
President of Canadians for Affordable Energy Dan McTeague says the average price for a litre of gas in Ontario was set to rise overnight by about 14 cents.
He says it’ll jump to about $1.80, the highest it’s been since August 2022.
