Four people from North Bay are among the nominees announced in the final two categories for the upcoming Northern Ontario Music and Film Awards.
David Dino White and Nicholas Cangiano are both nominated for outstanding songwriter.
As previously announced, Cangiano is also up for outstanding album.
In the film awards, the nominees for outstanding director – short/mid-length film include Austin Lindsay and Piotr Skowronski.
Lindsay is also in the running for outstanding screenwriter.
There are now ten people from the area nominated for awards this year, with the winners to be announced June 29 in Sudbury.
Cultural Industries Ontario North says this year it received the highest number of music and film submissions in its over two-decade history of hosting the awards ceremony and conference.
