Widdifield Station Road is the worst road in the north.
That’s according to the CAA Worst Roads in Ontario campaign. While the local roadway did not crack the provincial top 10, it tops the regional list. Chadbourne Drive was second with Premier Road fifth in the north.
A street in Hamilton has been deemed the worst in Ontario.
The top 10 are all in Southern Ontario.
CAA says for the last 21 years, the campaign has given Ontarians a voice to help them nominate the roads they believe are in need of urgent repair.
Other reasons include traffic congestion and poor cycling infrastructure.
North Region top 5:
- Widdifield Station Road, North Bay
- Chadbourne Drive, North Bay
- Algonquin Boulevard East, Timmins
- Burton Avenue, Greater Sudbury
- Premier Road, North Bay
In Ontario, 145 municipalities nominated over 2,000 different roads in their communities.
