Ontario Premier Doug Ford declared a state of emergency in the province effective this morning.
All facilities providing indoor activities, public libraries, daycares and entertainment providers are to close.
All restaurants will be limited to delivery or take out, and all gatherings of more than 5 people are banned.

  • Due to the ongoing challenges and physical distancing requirements with the coronavirus pandemic, both the daytime and evening Armed Forces Day events that were scheduled for Wednesday, June 10, 2020, have been cancelled.

  • Please be advised the Friends of Laurier Woods has CANCELLED its Annual General Meeting previously scheduled for Thursday, April 16th, 6:00pm at The Rorab Shrine Club, 1260 Brookes Street, North Bay. Members will be notified of future re-scheduling.

  • TP North Bay regrets they will be cancelling their May Campaign, due to the Covid-19 virus.  Once this virus passes we hope possibly to have a September Campaign. They look forward to your support then to help them support 13 North Bay Food Banks.
  • Calvin Presbyterian Church, North Bay, will be cancelling Sunday morning worship services until further notice.  In place of worshipping together, congregants will be encourage to worship at home using materials emailed to them each week.
  • Nipissing Serenity Hospice 2020 Hike for Hospice has been cancelled.
  • The Callander Public Library is closed to the public. All programs have been cancelled until further notice.
  • Dionne Quints Heritage Board has cancelled a fundraiser for April 17.
  • The Bonfield municipal offices have been closed.
  • The City of North Bay is taking additional action to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the wake of the provincial government’s declaration of a state of emergency in Ontario.
    Further to measures previously announced by the City, all municipal facilities including City
    Hall, Public Works and Parks, will be closed to the public, except by appointment, until further

  • The North Bay Symphony (NBSO) has cancelled their April 18 Brilliant Beethoven concert. NBSO is currently notifying all ticket holders.
  • 50th annual Kiwanis music festival has been cancelled.
  • Capitol Centre is now closed to visitors due to Public Health recommendations for enhanced COVID-19 precautions. Box Office staff are contacting all ticket holders of cancelled or postponed shows. This will take some days so we appreciate your patience.Questions? Phone: 705-474-4747
  • The Powassan Maple Syrup Festival has been cancelled.
  • North Bay Public Library is closed.
  • All Optometrist offices are closed.
  • To protect the health of patrons, the Capitol Centre has made the decision to postpone or cancel all shows and events scheduled through to April 30th.
  • The Board of Directors of Literacy Nipissing has decided to take the necessary precautions to protect the staff students and volunteers. Their office will be closed until further notice.
  • All city-operated arenas are closed, including Memorial Gardens, Pete Palangio, and West Ferris.
  • Tim Hortons have closed dining rooms to customers as of March 17.
  • Lakeshore Dental Care has been instructed by our regulating dental college, the RCDSO, to only see patients who are having a dental emergency. We will be reducing office hours due to this, but will return phone calls to schedule emergencies.
  • The North Bay Museum will be closed until further notice.
  • The YMCA is closed until further notice.
  • All school-based childcare is closed.
  • Good Life and Fit4Less are closed across Canada
  • Antoine Mountain is closed
  • Laurentian Ski Hill has closed for the season.
  • Trinity United Church North Bay has cancelled Worship services until further notice.
  • The 22 Wing fitness and wellness centre 22  has closed all parks, playgrounds, outdoor sports facilities as part of the continuing efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19
  • Canadore College has cancelled all physical classes until further notice. Students with questions can contact their college placement or program coordinator.
    • Adult upgrading, apprenticeship and dual credit classes at Canadore are also cancelled.
    • Canadore College remains operational and employees are expected to report to work.
  • Community Living North Bay EarlyON programs are closed until further notice. Please continue to monitor North Bay EarlyON social media for updated information about their programs.
  • Elder Abuse Prevention originally scheduled for March 18 is rescheduled for May 20; all registrations will be transferred as well as contacted about the change. This event will take place at Le centre des compagnons. Please contact Near North Palliative Care Network for further details at 705-497-9239.
  • Nipissing University: team practices and fitness classes at the R.J. Surtees Athletics Centre are cancelled
  • Long term care homes are no longer accepting visitors (except for compassionate care visitors)
  • Private and non-essential workers and volunteers (palliative care workers permitted) at Cassellhome
  • Non-essential visits at Marina Point
  • Nipissing District Soccer Club
  • All Hockey Canada sanctioned leagues, including the North Bay Battalion of the OHL and Powassan Voodoos of the NOJHL
  • Ringette Ontario has suspended all tournaments
  • Little Native Hockey League tournament
  • Public skating for (tots, adults, and seniors) and shinny hockey are cancelled until further notice

Visitors have been asked to postpone visits to the North Bay Regional Health Centre if they are unwell and screening procedures are in place for patients and visitors (entry by Emergency Department doors only).
