Heritage Day and Firefighter Challenge

The Burk’s Falls and District Historical Society and Township of Armour are hosting a Heritage Day and Firefighter Challenge on July 9, 2022 from 11 am to 3 pm at the Watt Century Farm House Heritage Centre located at 827 Chetwynd Road in Burk’s Falls from 11 am to 3 pm.  Admission and parking is free.This year’s celebration will be much bigger with a vendors market and a staged area with live music.  Meet UFC Champion, Kyle “The Monster” Nelson and the Algonquin Regiment from North Bay.  At high noon, teams of firefighters will converge on the farm field to test their skill, strength, agility and stamina. This event offers an opportunity for the public to interact with fire crews and witness the demands of being a firefighter.  Throughout the day, children are encouraged to participate in the mini-firefighter challenge course, titled the “Crawl, Drag & Squirt.”
