Bluesfest 2022

From September 1st to 4th blues fans can get their fix at the sixth annual Bluesfest at North Bay’s Capitol Centre.

The four-day event is “Northeastern Ontario’s only blues festival”

The Legendary Downchild Blues Band, take the stage on Thursday, Sept. 1st at 8 p.m. The WKP Kennedy Gallery is also hosting a Clash of the Canvas Blues Fest Edition that night as well, which features a live painting competition with local artists.

Saturday kicks off the outdoor concerts in the Capital Centre parking lot, and the gates open at 3:30. The lineup is varied and deep and should provide salve for every blues person’s itch. Paul Cafcae, Al Lerman, the Justin Saldino Band, Angel Forrest, and Dawn Tyler Watson, all take the stage before the headliner closes the night.

Gates open earlier on Sunday, and once 1:30 rings, prepare for Yer Blues, David Laronde, the Whiskey River Blues Band, the Jesse Thomas Band, the Ben Racine Band, and after all of this, David Gogo headlines.
